Borehole Water

What is borehole water used for?

The Dragon Drilling team get a large number of calls each month, each with a different requirement. Commercial and domestic, large and small, there’s thousands of uses for borehole water that we hear about every time the phone rings.

Nevertheless, we are often asked whether borehole water is suitable for specific uses. We’re always happy to provide an expert opinion and a little insight into your exact needs. Fortunately for us, and you, borehole drilling is suitable for almost everything.

Some of the most intensive users of water are industries. Golf courses, farms for both crops and livestock, hotels and more all have high water requirements. A borehole could pay for itself in a matter of years if you’re already using a lot, and the water you use might not even need any treatment, depending on how you’re going to be using it.

A lush green garden can take a lot of maintenance and, by extension, a lot of water. If you’re not growing plants for human consumption, your borehole water is ready to water the plants without any treatment (in most cases). For fruits and vegetables, we recommend making sure there’s no contaminants in the water to be on the safe side. Anything we find can be fixed with water treatments, and you’ll be ready to water in no time.

For use in the home

Once your water borehole is connected, you can use the water for everything you’d usually turn the tap on for. Washing, cooking, bathing, and everything else will operate in the exact same way, if not better! You’ll get great water pressure and control over your own water supply to boot.

One of the biggest uses of water from a borehole is for drinking water. Often the water can be safe to drink straight away with no treatment needed. We’ll always do a test to flag any contaminants, and then provide a treatment facility (if needed) that ensures your drinking water is completely safe for human use. Our initial surveys will help us discover if there’s the unlikely case the water from your borehole being unviable at the earliest possible opportunity.

No matter your needs, the likelihood is that borehole drilling will be able to fulfill your water needs whilst saving you money at the same time. The Dragon Drilling team will do everything they can to help you get the borehole solution that works for you. Get in touch with us today to get started.
